Oil pulling is an old Ayurvedic remedy. Oil pulling is a simple and effective technique to increase the health your mouth, it detoxifies the stomach and whitens the teeth. You can choose between olive and coconut oil. Swish the oil in your mouth for about 15-20 minutes. Avoid swallowing it. When you rinse you will notice high content of mucus and toxins that were present in your mouth prior to rinsing.


Flossing is a common teeth whitening remedy. The only problem, however, is that most many people try to avoid and search for other possible remedies instead. But once you get in the habit of flossing daily, you will immediately notice the change in your teeth.

Lemon and Baking Soda:

The combination of lemon and baking soda can do wonders. Mix equal amount of lemon and baking soda. Dab it on your teeth using a cotton roll or a toothbrush. Leave it for a few minutes and then rinse. Baking soda will immediately make your teeth appear white.


Gargling with salt is another great teeth cleaner. Salt is often recommended by doctors to maintain the health of your teeth because it fights bacteria and removes the harmful effects of acidic food content in your teeth. Salt is also antifungal and antibacterial which helps in improving the hygiene of your mouth.

Eat Vegetables:

Vegetables are full of minerals and vitamins. Vitamin C is important for the health of teeth. Food that contains high amount of Vitamin C and E enhances the beauty of teeth by making them whiter. Crunchy vegetables and fruits are also easy to chew. Vegetables leave no sticky residue behind in your teeth, thereby, preventing bacteria from entering into your mouth.

  • Smoking, as it ruins the health of your teeth, and
  • Avoid eating food that leaves residue in your teeth
